This season has been a particularly successful season for Orpington Rovers.

The crowning glory has to be the Senior Team who won the Kent County Trophy Final that took place at Maidstone United’s ground on 17th April. It is an achievement to reach a County Final, which doesn’t happen very often. To win the Final of a County Tournament is an outstanding achievement. Congratulations to Neil and the whole team. The Team also reached the Final of the Orpington & Bromley League Vic Farrow Cup Final which they lost by the narrowest of margins. in fact the Senior Team were so successful that they were involved almost entirely in Cup fixtures for three and a half months since Christmas and New Year to the detriment of further progress of League fixtures in their division.

The Under 14 Team were Champions of the Tandridge League ‘D’ Division and were also winners of the Sportsman’s Award for the Division.

The Under 15 Team managed by Nic Bury and Steve Elston finished the season as Champions of the Tandridge League ‘C’ Division.

The Under 16 Team managed by Steve Clark and Don Hughes were Joint Winners of the Tandridge League ‘B’ Division, sharing the honours with Seymour Villa. At the end of the season, the Team also won the Parkmere F.C. 6 a side tournament

Under 11 Tigers managed by Dan Berry and Steve Walker were winners of the Tandridge League Spring Gold Trophy Final winning 2 – 1 in Extra Time.

At the end of the season, the Under 7 Team won a tournament at Rusthall F.C. and so impressed the Head Coach of Crystal Palace Development Centre that they have been invited to take part in a tournament at their East Grinstead venue in the near future.
